Well, illness consumes all your energy, and makes you forget to update your website, that's for sure. I finally have a name for this malady, ME/CFS, or Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/ Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. It has been with me for 10 years, and looks like it wants to either stay or being very slow to leave.
It makes it difficult to work in the studio as much as I wish. So my new idea is to learn how to manage it, by carefully pacing myself, which I'm not the least bit good at. The other idea which is slowing gaining ground, is to make splendidly interesting and well crafted small sculptural pieces, but not too many of them. My sons say my days doing Art Shows have to be over. They are probably right.
I am excited about the tiny images of old Wrightsville Beach cottages fired onto enamel. These are destined for silver bezel fittings as either pins or part of a necklace.

The bracelet went to Heather, my Daughter-in-law, at Christmas time, although after learning a lot about contemporary enamel practices from these bracelets that Angela Gerhard taught me to make; I've gone in the direction of greater simplicity. Well at least I know how to do this stuff now!
Here are some other images of my current work"
